Ladies, I’ve tried this new baby on the block and I am absolutely in LOVE with it.

Having first come out on January 1st, 2016 in Asia (February 1st, 2016 for the rest of the world), this is the newest addition to the powerhouse’s line. Touted as having about half a bottle of the iconic ANR II Face Serum, this mask is futuristic in its dual-matrix technology foil-and-cotton hybrid of a sheet mask, where the inner matrix (cotton-side) is infused with the ANR II Face Serum and the outer matrix (foil-side) that is said to offer up to 25 times the penetration for an intense glow and hydration boost to the skin.

Now, enough with the science-y side. How did it actually perform?

Upon opening the packet, I saw that the mask is separated into two halves, which makes practical sense as since its got a foil layer, I noticed that the mask isn’t as good as regular cotton masks in molding to one’s facial contours; but, nonetheless, I soldiered on and applied both halves to my face and proceeded to lie down in bed and relax for 10 minutes — as dictated in the instructions — to allow all of that serum-y goodness to soak in. I looked like Ironman LOL 😀

This is me-time at its finest ❤

During the face mask session, I noticed that there is a very, very slight heated tingle on my face from the mask, of which I had already experienced more clearly when I was able to try a sample of it on my hand when I was at the Estée Lauder counter deciding whether I should jump in and buy the mask — of which I did but at a local DFS as it is actually cheaper, as noted above 🙂 I will note here that the tinglyness is not something that made my skin feel uncomfortable, nor was it a stinging kind of reaction. Upon taking off the mask and massaging in the serum (note: don’t forget the serum that’s still inside the packet — squeeze all that ju-ju out and massage that on your face and neck, ladies!), I noticed that my face felt slightly warm from that heated tinglyness, but it was a comfortable feeling — as opposed to the usual cold, hydrated sensation that one would feel with a regular cotton mask — before applying my Micro Essence, ANR II Face Serum and the rest of my skincare routine.

I proceeded to go to bed, and I work up with hydrated, radiant and supple skin the next morning ❤ My makeup went on much more smoothly than usual and I had a beautiful glow without my blush and highlighter 🙂

Although this is pricier than usual cotton face masks, this is recommended as a once-a-week treatment, and for the effect and glow it delivered, you can bet your bottom dollar that I’m adding this to my routine ❤

      Hello Sophie!

For the most part, the ANRII Powerfoil mask’s ingredients include:
      – Nearly half a bottle’s amount of Advanced Night Repair’s exclusive ChronoluxCB.
      – Hyaluronic Acid
      – Potent Anti-Irritants: including Lady’s Thistle, Birch Extract and Magnolia Bark Extract

I hope that helps! ❤ Thanks for stopping by!
