One of the great things about skincare in sample sizes are trying them out on
imagetrips and seeing if your skin is happy with them without committing to a full-sized bottle; I received this makeup remover as one of the free samples that I got from one of my Sasa hauls in the past and I didn’t really consider using it until recently on my trip back home to Vancouver.

Formulated without parabens, sulfates and phthalates and as a soap-free micellar water that attracts and traps dirt, oil, and makeup to gently remove impurities and cleanse your complexion without drying out the skin. I squirted out a bit of the product onto a cotton pad and directly wiped off my base makeup. I’d used Bioderma before and thus I was familiar with what micellar makeup removers are supposed to do; this cleanser from Caudalie left my skin feeling refreshed and the subtle orange, lemon blossom, watermelon and mint scent. In addition, Caudalie’s product contains organic grape water, chamomile extract and plant glycerin, all of which helps moisturizes and softens the skin as well as decreasing sensitivity and providing anti-redness properties.

I will note here that much like my previous experience with micellar cleansers, I would use this with light makeup as I prefer and love using cleansing oils to fully remove my base makeup and then follow up with double cleansing; at the moment, I use the Estée Lauder Nutritious Cleanser for that purpose.

For those of you who are interested, here is a full list of the ingredients from the company:

Water, Glycerin*, Poloxamer 188, Grape Fruit Water*, Capryl/Capramidopropyl Betaine, Cocoyl Proline*, Methylpropanediol, Sodium Chloride, Polyaminopropyl Biguanide, Fragrance, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract*, Caprylyl Glycol, Grape Juice*, Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Phenylpropanol, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate. *Plant origin.

All in all, if you are a fan of micellar cleansers and you have sensitive skin, I would give this a shot on your light makeup days ❤

I thought it was pretty awesome too! I’m still a cleansing oil + cream cleanser (double cleansing) kind of girl though but this was lovely to try out in the world of Micellar Cleansing waters 🙂 Thanks for dropping by, Sunshine ❤
