Clinelle Deep Cleansing Gel Review

Clinelle Deep Cleansing Gel2015-10-28 22.23.34

Price: HKD139 (Sasa)
Volume: 100ml
Made in France

This was a surprise purchase at Sasa as I was looking to separate my AM and PM cleansers as I feel that my skin has different needs: in the PM, I like the double cleanse method where I remove my makeup with a cleansing oil first before using another cleanser to make my skin feel nice and clean. In the morning however, I just need something simple, non-drying to…wake me up 😀

I tried this gel cleanser in the morning and WHOA. Clear in colour and cool to the touch, this cleanser left me feeling refreshed and my face didn’t have the usual slight tightness after using the same cleanser as I used for my double cleansing. The cleanser is fragrance-free and non-foaming and it claims to be:

  • Enriched with Lavender, Aloe Vera, Marigold Flower Extract and Pro-Vitamin B5.
  • Suitable for all skin types, especially oily, acne-prone & combination skin
  • Will not clog pores (Non-comedogenic).
  • Aloe vera and extracts of Horse Chestnut, Marigold Flower, Ruscus Aculeatus, Licorice, Willow Bark promote oxygen flow and soothe the skin.
  • Powerful antioxidant protection of Vitamin B5 for more youthful looking skin.
  • Soothes and improves skin elasticity (natural essential oils of Lavender and Ylang Ylang leave skin more supple)
  • Softer and smoother skin (Vitamin B5, Centella Asiatica Extract and Sodium Lauroyl Oat Amino Acids restore and nourish the skin condition)
  • Skin restoration (Wild Thyme Extract aids in restoring acne-prone skin condition)

I most definitely like how this gel cleanser is working for my combination-dry-sensitive and acne-prone skin. Nothing feels tight with this cleanser — skin- or wallet-wise 🙂
