Bobbi Brown CC Cream Review

Bobbi Brown CC Cream

Bobbi Brown Counter: HKD380
Volume: 40ml/tube
Shade: Blushed Nude
SPF: 35

I’ve been on the BB and CC cream wagon for a while now, but for the most parts the shades have been rather off for my skin tone. I’ve been on the hunt for a while now…

Until I caught a sight of this gem at the Bobbi Brown beauty counter!

Priced at HKD380 per tube, I bought the shade that I felt was closest to my NC20 skin tone, which was the Blushed Nude. The entire CC cream line has a total of five shades with Blushed Nude and Pale Nude which are ideal for fair skin tones; Warm Nude, best for medium skin tones; and Golden Nude and Rich Nude, perfect for deep skin tones.
CC creams are colour-correcting creams, and Bobbi Brown notes that this product will make your skin look healthie2015-07-24 18.22.58r and more even toned when using this as a base. With
prolonged use, the skin will become brighter and more even in skin tone. This cream does not, however, work well as a primer to hang onto any foundation or concealer that is added to the skin; I feel that this is better utilized to even out already-pretty-good skin. For those who have relatively blemish-free skin, the CC cream can be worn alone on top of skincare to even out the skin tone; if you need more coverage, then I suggest topping it off with concealer on your problem areas or a layer of foundation as this CC cream does not cover any imperfections.

When I first squeezed a pea-sized amount and smoothed it onto my skin, the consistency was that of a slightly thicker lotion but not to the point where it’s a cream. As I have combination/dry skin, I don’t feel that this CC cream was greasy or made my skin any oilier after putting it on. In addition, I have not gotten any breakouts or sensitive skin patches; my skin also does appear to be a bit lighter and brighter overall when I consistently used this product everyday for a month; in fact, I used this under a foundation that I have and find to be a little dull on me. I like the fact that it has SPF 35 included so that I can worry about one less layer for my daytime skin care routine 😀

It could be just me, but either way I’m a happy camper with this product!
